Until now, the optimization of set-up costs was a domain dominated by in-house control center systems. In conjunction with customers, FWI has now developed a new ERP add-on module which supplements Microsoft Dynamics AX in the area of production control: the FWI OPERATIONS SCHEDULER.

The FWI OPERATIONS SCHEDULER enables manufacturing facilities to plan their production orders in depth according to selected practice-based criteria and to further optimize their processes. All of the relevant data can be captured at a glance. Current status messages during ongoing processes enable users to react speedily to changes.  

Production is not only about the efficient use of resources but also a matter of optimal sequencing. The FWI OPERATIONS SCHEDULER makes it possible to simulate several planning scenarios and phases. These scenarios are assessed on the basis of freely definable criteria such as adherence to delivery dates, warehousing / set-up costs, etc.   This enables production processes to run even faster and more efficiently, further cutting throughput times and also reducing set-up costs. Manufactured goods can be delivered faster, inventory levels reduced and warehousing costs cut.
