New ERP Customer: Fischer Sports

 

In future, Fischer Sports, a leading company in the international sporting articles market, will be relying on the ERP competence of FWI Information Technology. FWI is implementing the latest ERP software generation of Microsoft Dynamics 2012 at this full-range provider of skiing equipment. This will enable Fischer not only to manage individual subsidiaries but also to optimize the entire group of companies.

"In the years ahead we want to increase efficiency by generating higher revenues with the same headcount. That is why we have secured the support of the ERP professionals at FWI", says Günter Kitzmüller, CFO of Fischer Sports GmbH.

Every year, the 1,850 Fischer Sports personnel (460 of which based at the head office in Ried / Upper Austria) develop and manufacture a total of 1.4 million pairs of alpine and cross-country skis and ski boots, plus a million hockey sticks as well as ski bindings, clothing and accessories. More than 80 percent of all goods manufactured are exported worldwide. In its 2010/11 financial year, Fischer Sports GmbH generated revenues of EUR 159 million.
